Vinci Autoroutes announced on Monday a freeze on page rates this year on the majority of short routes on its network, but all rates will still increase by 2% on average on Tuesday.
To preserve the purchasing power of motorists, the page rates for the vast majority of short-distance journeys will not increase on the Vinci Autoroutes network in 2022, indicated in a press release the first group of motorway concessions in France, including the network includes Autoroutes du Sud de la France (ASF), Cofiroute and Escota. This tariff break concerns four-fifths of journeys under 30 km, two thirds of the journeys of less than 50 km as well as the routes bypassing 34 agglomerations, he specified.
On average, the rates for Vinci Autoroutes pages will still increase in 2022 by 2.0% of 2.19% for ASF, 1.90% for Cofiroute and 2.05% for Escota, in the average of the increases coming into force Tuesday on almost all of the French conceded motorways. He refused to conclude that the pages would increase more on long journeys, to compensate for the freezing of daily journeys. It’s on a case-by-case basis, he insisted.
