A Plague Tale Requiem invades Summer Game Fest with some never-before-seen footage

After a successful first episode, the Bordeaux studio Asobo, also at the origin of the stunning Flight Simulator, returns with concrete material for the continuation of the adventures of Amicia and her brother on the occasion of the Tribeca Games.
Unveiled with a visually appealing first trailer at E3 2021, A Plague Tale Requiem showed itself again during this Summer Game Fest with a new video revealing more about what awaits our siblings in this sequel which should be released on consoles and PC in 2022.

The video broadcast only offered meager excerpts from Requiem, but for the little that we could see, it is visually sumptuous. We feel that the teams want to take the next step and give an unprecedented scale to the journey of their duo. But while waiting for videos with a little more concrete, we will have to be content with this developer diary describing the project a little more, leaving the floor to the Asobo Studios development team.
The Return of the De Runes
With ultimately fairly basic gameplay, A Plague Tale Innocence still managed to offer enough varied situations to hook the player from start to finish.. We’ll see if Requiem will manage to double the bet by bringing new ways to infiltrate, but above all new threats to dodge. The first voyage of the De Runes was well balanced in terms of narration / gameplay phases, but this sequel will not be able to content itself with using the same ingredients by simply continuing the story of Amicia and her brother. We will have to see if Asobo will succeed in making the gameplay mechanics of the game denser, or if they will completely change the angle with a more offensive Amicia.
