Last week, a cop was caught red-handed stealing Pokémon cards.
The facts more precisely took place on Saturday August 12 around 7 p.m.
A policeman steals Pokémon cards and is miserably captured
His name is Josh Hardy, he is 35 years old and he is (or should we say “was”) a correctional officer in Calhoun County, USA. When he had just finished his shift at the prison, he went to a Walmart store in Oxford (in Alabama), still dressed in his uniform. Visibly attracted by the Pokémon cards on the shelves, this one could not help but open several packages. He then placed the cards he wanted to keep in his pocket before looking to gently exit the store. Caught in the act, Hardy did not wish to answer for his actions and therefore preferred to flee on foot, even if it meant being pursued by security personnel.
The police eventually found the culprit in a restaurant with the stolen Pokémon cards still in his possession. He was therefore arrested for theft and is currently incarcerated in Oxford prison. Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade then immediately contacted the local police about this infamous theft to apologize for such an incident and to thank the officers for their professionalism. The sheriff also confirmed that Josh Hardy was immediately fired from his job as a correctional officer at the Calhoun County office.
