a popular new free game to pick up now

As usual, the GOG platform still has a new free game to offer us, but this one is quite special, and you will understand why.

In the video game sphere, we often have the possibility of recovering games for free. Or at least, to be able to try them at no additional cost, but for a limited time. Obviously, when we say that, we think of Steam or the Epic Games Store. But that would be to forget the existence of GOG, the CD Projekt Red store, which regularly offers aggressive offers for quite interesting games. There is also a new one available, without needing to heat up the credit card.

A new free game accessible via GOG

In truth, we are not really dealing with a complete title. For good reason, this time, it’s Nomads: The Forgotten Passage which is accessible for free on GOG. If you don’t know, this is a pack bringing together several scenarios for Nomads of Driftland. It is an RTS set in a magical universe and which, originally, was thought of as an add-on for Driftland: The Magic Revival. In the end, as it differs greatly from the latter, the developers made the decision to make it a standalone. As you can see, it’s quite a story, but the important thing is to remember that you don’t have to pay a single cent.

Yes, Nomads of Driftland is itself free-to-play. So, you can get The Forgotten Passage pack on GOG, then the base game. All this will cost you nothing, which is good news. In addition, we are still facing a title that is quite popular with players. On Steam, for example, it got a “Mostly Positive” average for 130 reviews. Without being earth-shattering, it’s still a pretty good score and it shows that he has some tricks up his sleeve. In any case, you risk nothing by giving him a chance (literally). Afterwards, you have to like the genre of strategy in this sauce, but we’ll let you discover that below.

Don’t hang around!

For information, The Forgotten Passage adds a total of ten new scenarios. So, if you’ve already sanded Nomads of Driftland, this is a good way to boost the content thanks to GOG. On the other hand, we invite you not to waste too much time before getting hold of it. The countdown has started, and there are (at the time of writing) 185 hours left to get it. Well, you have a nice margin, sure, but it might slip your mind. If in doubt, go get the extension now!
