Cobra Kai (Netflix): the final season of the series, divided into three parts, arrives in July

For the last season of Cobra Kai, Netflix has decided to do things big. The last 15 episodes of the show will in fact be divided into three parts that the streaming platform will broadcast over the coming months.

Last round at the dojo

Fans of Cobra Kai will have time to enjoy the final season of the series, as it will be spread over part 1 which will arrive on Netflix on July 18, 2024, followed by part 2 scheduled for November 28. The third part, “the grand finale”, will be launched in 2025.

As a reminder, Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after the events of the film Karate Kid (released in 1984), as the conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) reignites.

Season 6 of the show picks up where the previous season left off, as the senseis and students of the Cobra Kai dojo must decide whether they will compete in the Sekai Taikai, the world karate championship.

Written and produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, the series Cobra Kai started on YouTube in 2018 before being picked up by Netflix in 2020, where its success has never wavered.

If the third part of this final season of Cobra Kai does not yet have a release date, we expect to see it land on Netflix before May 30, 2025, the date on which the release of the new film is set Karate Kid currently in preparation at Sony.

As the character played by Ralph Macchio will play in this new film, it would make sense that his journey in Cobra Kai concludes before seeing Daniel LaRusso make his comeback to the cinema.
