The Israeli army continues to inspect the al-Chifa hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, looking for possible terrorists in the building’s underground passages. Saturday night on the show Europe 1 Weekend eveningOlivier Rafowicz, an IDF spokesperson, estimated that this territory, today, “is perhaps the largest element in terms of the terrorist structure that exists in the world. We are truly dealing with a hell of a terrorist war where all things that may seem ‘normal’, such as schools, mosques, hospital structures, are totally trapped and exploited by Hamas,” he said at Pierre de Vilno’s microphone.
Al-Chifa hospital “used as a terrorist base”
This spokesperson explained that “for years, Hamas has built underground structures under al-Chifa hospital, using it as a military, terrorist base.” These underground passages “go up to 60 meters deep, they are extremely sophisticated with ventilation systems, lighting systems… We are dealing with a real war machine”, he underlined on Europe 1.
Still according to Olivier Rafowicz, the Gaza Strip has “roughly the equivalent of 800 kilometers of underground” in total.
