A sequel for Sylvester Stallone superhero: after Rocky, Rambo, Evasion, Expendables and Cliffhanger, the star is developing yet another new franchise!

A new franchise is launched: “The Samaritan” will have the right to a sequel!

At 77 years old, Sylvester Stallone is not ready to stop acting! After Expendables 4, released in theaters on October 11, and the announced sequel to Cliffhanger (1993), one of his most memorable films, which will be directed by Ric Roman Waugh, he will be back in another sequel, that of his 2022 superhero film, The Samaritan.

Bragi F. Schut, who wrote the first film, was asked to write the second part, still under the control of Amazon MGM Studios with Sylvester Stallone as producer, alongside his Balboa Productions partner, Braden Aftergood. The legendary performer of Rambo and Rocky Balboa will also reprise his main role in The Samaritan 2 thanks to an agreement reached before the actors’ strike.

The Samaritandirected by Julius Avery and adapted from a 2014 comic book, tells the story of a 13-year-old boy who suspects his mysterious and lonely neighbor, Mr. Smith, of actually being a superhero: The Samaritan , declared dead in a warehouse 20 years earlier, after a tragic fight against his rival, Nemesis.

The action film, which premiered exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on August 26, 2022 in more than 240 countries and territories around the world, was the streaming platform’s top film for three consecutive weeks, according to Amazon.

So here’s a new franchise to add to the incredible career of Sylvester Stallone which has certainly not said its last word and which we should see for a long time on our big screens.

While waiting to discover this sequel, The Samaritan can be seen again in streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
