Ryan Murphy never stops. After "Hollywood" and "Ratched", the American producer plans to release a Netflix series on Jeffrey Dahmer, one of the most violent and famous serial killers in the United States.

Nip / Tuck, Glee, American Horror Story, Hollywood, Ratched… Ryan Murphy is a success machine. In 2020, he gave us shivers with the very successful series Ratched, which stars Sarah Paulson. The producer intends to continue his collaboration with Netflix. According to information from Deadline, Ryan Murphy will be producing a miniseries about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, nicknamed the "Milwaukee cannibal". This will be called Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and terrifies us from his pitch: between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer murdered seventeen people. Rape, dismemberment, cannibalism, necrophilia… A "monster" which never ceases to fascinate America, and which has already been entitled to the graphic novel My friend Dahmer, by John "Derf" Backderf, in 2012, as well as in the film My Friend Dahmer, directed by Marc Meyers in 2017.

According to Deadline, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story will adapt this sordid story from the point of view of the victims and denounce the incompetence of the police, since Dahmer may have committed these heinous acts for several years. To shed light on the story of this murderer, but more importantly, that of his victims, Ryan Murphy will be surrounded by screenwriter Carl Franklin, who participated in season 2 of Mindhunter on Netflix. In addition to this collaboration, he will once again be able to count on producer Ian Brennan and screenwriter Janet Mock, with whom he worked on Hollywood or, Pose. On the other hand, concerning the casting, the mystery remains whole.

Ryan Murphy signed a five-year deal with Netflix. We are therefore eager to discover the many other programs that have come out of our imagination on the streaming platform. Notably, the musical with Meryl Streep, The Prom, which will be available by the end of the year.
