“A story that shocked me”: Gérald Kierzek is moved by a tragic situation

“There is an urgent need to be more united and benevolent”. Very active on social networks, Gérald Kierzek never misses the opportunity to enlighten his subscribers in the face of the epidemic. But this Wednesday, January 26, the emergency doctor on duty took advantage of a break to evoke the tragic disappearance of a man 84 years old. In a video posted on his Twitter account, the 47-year-old medical columnist calls for everyone’s solidarity: “Hello everyone, I am isolating myself during my call for a few minutes with a story that shocked me a little”, he explains before continuing.“René Robert, an 84-year-old photographer whom I did not know, this gentleman was a few streets from here and it would have dropped last week and no one stopped in the street”.

Unconscious, this photographer would have remained nearly nine hours on the groundwithout any passerby giving the alert: “it was simply the next day, because a homeless person gave the alert, thathe was taken to the hospital unfortunately too late and in hypothermia”. Stunned by this tragedy, Gérald Kierzek evokes his anger: “Beyond this story, it’s just to remind us that we are all human beings thatsomething can happen to all of us. But when you pass by someone who is in distress, you just have to have a look and check that everything is fine. It’s abnormal to be lying in the street“.

Despite his cry from the heart, the emergency doctor responsible for militant anti-Véran, does not escape criticism.
