Buyer Johan Ledoux explained that the object in question had a special value in his eyes. Explaining that the turtle was his favorite animal, he was quick to start the auction by offering the sum of 30 euros to Cathy. His colleagues obviously remained insensitive to his love for the turtle since they did not hesitate to quickly raise the stakes, raising the price from 50 to 250 euros in a few seconds.

But while Caroline Margeridon, taken by a real thunderbolt for the object, thought she could leave with it for the sum of 310 euros, Johan Ledoux did not let himself be dismantled: he finally offered 500 euros. “Cathy, we make a deal concluded at 500 euros, that will be my offer (…) Another turtle that will join the house“, he congratulated himself. The estimate given to the base by the buyers concerning this turtle was 50 euros.
