The little boy’s aunt, in charge of picking him up that day, showed up at the recreation center around 6 p.m. Not seeing his nephew among the other children, she then turned to the members of the animation team. The child was completely dehydrated
According to our colleagues, the day after he ran away, the young boy was taken from tremorsof seizuresof vomiting and a strong fever. He was then quickly taken to emergency room. There, a doctor finally found that his symptoms were none other than those of the dehydration. A diagnosis which therefore confirmed the words of the child who had assured that he had left the leisure center because he was thirsty. A syrup was prescribed to him by the medical team. “Today he is doing very well“, said his aunt. “What is certain is that he will not return to the center!”, She added, furious. His mother filed a complaint at the Melun police stationaccording to The Republic of Seine-et-Marnefor “endangering others with immediate risk of death or infirmity by manifestly deliberate violation of a regulatory obligation of safety or prudence”. The town hall, for its part, took note of the incident and announced thatan internal investigation had been opened.
