a ton of free content is coming soon, as well as a DLC highly anticipated by fans

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown was the gaming surprise of the start of the year. Ubisoft is unveiling its roadmap today, and plans for the arrival of story-focused DLC before the end of 2024. Something to delight fans.

Prince of Persia

Released at the start of the year, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown was an excellent surprise in the small world of video games. The game brilliantly brought back a license that had been dormant for a decade while bringing a breath of fresh air to the Metroidvania genre. If you liked the adventure, know that it is not yet finished.

Ubisoft has indeed revealed its roadmap for supporting The Lost Crown. The French studio does not intend to let go of its baby and will bring a whole bunch of new features in the coming months, including a big DLC focused on the story.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown will benefit from single-player DLC.

On March 20, a first update will arrive. It includes a Speedrun mode, a Permanent Death mode as well as additional costumes. The second update, planned for spring, will include a Boss Rush. This summer, a third update with new battles, platform phases and puzzles will arrive. These three updates will be completely free, promises the French studio.

The roadmap also includes an update which will not be free. And for good reason : this will be a single-player DLC. No info on it yet, but the studio promises to say more soon. A sequel to the main story? A parallel adventure with another character? A prequel? All theories are allowed.

In any case, it’s encouraging to see Ubisoft continue to follow its title with new content. As a reminder, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown was released on January 18 and was praised by both critics and the public. A 2D adventure that reconnected with the roots of the license while bringing it a real breath of fresh air.
