a truly stunning comparison with the original!

The arrival of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is imminent and we can already see that Square Enix pays great attention to the smallest detail. Fans are excited about the improvements and benchmarks.

FF7 Rebirth is coming very soon and we can already see that it is out of the question to flout the original 1997 title. We can even discover it in the demo, available since the beginning of the month on PS5. As a reminder, it allows you to play the entire first chapter of this second episode of the remake trilogy. This part corresponds to the flashback of Nibelheim, the original village of Cloud and Tifa. We therefore find our heroes, accompanied by Sephiroth, on a mission to repair a Mako reactor. Just like in FF7 Remake, the graphics are impressive (and will be improved from now on) and we feel the attention to detail, which will delight fans.

FF7 Rebirth a carbon copy?

Even though the full version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will only be available on February 29 on PS5, many players are already having fun creating comparisons with the original game. This is the case of a devoted fan, who put the passages of the two games, which take place in Nibelheim, side by side. The improvements are stunning. We notice for example that in the first title, the camera was very often high up. In FF7 Rebirth, she allows herself to be much closer to our heroes. Obviously, the environments are much more detailed than in 1997, where they were just tables to cross.

However, Square Enix has managed to remain very faithful to its base material. The dialogues, although more accomplished, keep the same spirit in both software. Events are also created shot by shot. Even the smallest details are there, like Sephiroth’s laugh. However, this does not mean that this fidelity will remain throughout the game. The publisher has already hinted that several storyline changes will be made and that the treatment of Sephiroth will be different, but not only that. Everything suggests that this second episode of the trilogy will mark a new turning point for history with entire sections that have never been seen before.

As we told you above, you can already test the FF7 Rebirth demo. All your progress during this first chapter will be transferred to the final game. This is a good opportunity to start collecting materia (kinds of skills) and obtain as many items as possible. Moreover, this demo will be updated one week before launch to allow players to have an overview of the Juno region in Chapter 2. Except this time, no saved game. This patch will also improve the game’s graphics.
