Apple is already working on the design of two new models of augmented reality headsets: one more powerful than the Apple Vision Pro announced in early June, the other more affordable. Both would arrive on the market at the end of 2025.
With a price set at 3500 dollars, the Apple Vision Pro is mainly oriented towards the professional sector and towards the most affluent technophiles. But according to Mark Gurman, this model would only be a first step. In the latest issue of its newsletter power-onthe journalist of Bloomberg indicates that Apple is now working on the design of two future iterations, expected for the end of 2025.
The first would be more efficient than the current model, with the addition of a faster processor, while the second would aim for a more contained price placement. Still according to Mark Gurman, this less expensive version would be called “AppleVision » (without the mention « Pro ») or «Apple Vision One “. In any case, it would allow Apple to reach a wider audience, even if it means agreeing to sacrifice certain elements of the other versions in order to obtain them.
Two new Apple Vision for 2025, an overly optimistic forecast?
We learn, for example, that Apple could use lower quality screens in order to lower the selling price, but also that the firm would use a slower processor or even a lower number of sensors and cameras. According to Mark Gurman, Apple would also remove the spatial audio speakers found on the Vision Pro from this model. Users of this future, cheaper version would then be encouraged to use their own AirPods Pro.
