Impressive images… Located between Porto and Lisbon, the small village of São Lourenço de Bairro, in Portugal, was the victim of an extraordinary flood. Sunday September 10, 2023, two tanks at the Levira distillery accidentally released 2.2 million liters of red wine which spread on the main road of the village, the neighboring roads, but also the annexed lands of the commune. If the local authorities were afraid that the Certima river was contaminated, the wine producer was reassuring. In fact, the liquid was able to be collected and transported to a treatment plant located a few kilometers away. Earlier, authorities managed to divert the wine race so that it ended in a nearby field, as the newspaper reported Diaro de Coimbra. “We take full responsibility for the costs associated with repairs and cleaning up the damage. We are doing our best to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.”declared the wine producer, quoted by TF1info.

Other Internet users saw it as a sign… of the end of the world! “It’s just like the Bible wrote!” ; “Real video of Jesus changing water into wine”they wrote. “I hope my mother doesn’t see this… She’s very religious and will think it’s like a river of blood which means it’s the end of times… She’s a good person, but she just won’t accept that it’s anything else. She says it will soon be the end of times for 30 years!”added an Internet user.
