Senna (Netflix): an intense teaser for the series dedicated to the F1 legend

The story of a Formula 1 legend will soon be told on Netflix. The streaming platform has posted a first trailer for Sennalimited series expected in 2024 and dedicated to the life of Brazilian pilot Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960-1994).

The man behind the myth

The six episodes of Senna trace the story of the man behind the myth, through his family relationships and his career. The series will look as much at his triumphs as at his failures, his joys and his sorrows, and will lift the veil on the personality of the triple champion.

With Vicente Amorim as showrunner and co-director with Julia Rezende, the story of the film Senna will begin as Ayrton travels to England to compete in the Formula Ford championship, and follows his journey up to his tragic accident in Italy during the San Marino Grand Prix.

It’s Gabriel Leone (Ferrari) who plays Ayrton Senna in this series which also includes Matt Mella (The Winter King) in the role of Alain Prost, Hugo Bonemer (Domingo in Noite) in that of Nelson Piquet, or even Kaya Scodelario (The Gentlemen) in the fictional role of a journalist called Laura.
