A well-composed capsule collection

In the eco-responsible wardrobe niche, the Spanish label Ecoalf is advancing its pawns. Since its founding in 2009, it has used transformed waste from plastic bottles, tires or fishing nets, until it was certified B Corp, an envied label (Chloé, Sézane or Ganni recently won it) rewarding companies investing in decarbonization and anti-waste practices.

Ecoalf’s minimalist style first opened the doors to the Scandinavian and Japanese markets. At the start of 2022, the brand, which is aiming for 40 million euros in turnover this year, moved to rue du Temple, in Paris, wishing to show that it had to be reckoned with.

From now on, she is off to conquer America. To do this, she is wisely launching a collaboration this fall with Goop, the refined label dedicated to the well-being of the highly publicized Gwyneth Paltrow. Either five plain pieces, coat, down jacket or rain poncho, made of Sorona, a textile obtained from corn waste, or recycled polyester, in sober colors and graphic cuts: puffy sleeves, rigorous quilting, rounded shoulders, hood enveloping…
