“Elisabetta”, as the brave and extremely trusting velvet paw was christened, was very lucky that she was discovered in time. “The blanket was only able to protect the young cat from the cold to a limited extent, because the cat had no warm underlay in the transporter,” report the hard-working animal rights activists. A night in the icy prison could have had serious consequences, as the animal shelter had to learn the hard way: “We once had a found cat that was already so severely hypothermic that it never recovered.”
