Like a Christmas gift delivered in advance by the Prime Video daddy to his subscribers, the complete Community series has been available on the platform since the beginning of the month.
In the program ? A return to university alongside Jeff (Joel McHale), a lawyer forced to return to school to keep his job. When he arrived on campus, Jeff made friends with several adults, also returning to their studies. It’s the start of a new journey for them, but also of a beautiful friendship!
As funny as The Office and touching as Modern Family, Community is the feel-good series you need to survive the icy darkness of winter. And when it tackles the essential Christmas Specials, the traditional Christmas episodes specific to American series, Community doesn’t do things by halves!
Season 1, episode 12 – “Comparative Religion”

The twelfth episode of the first season, “Comparative Religion”, gets the ball rolling since it brings together all its characters for New Year’s Eve.
The problem? The members of the group all have different religious opinions: Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) is Christian, Annie (Gillian Jacobs) is Jewish, Abed (Danny Pudi) is Muslim, Pierce (Chevy Chase) is Buddhist… Enough to create discord, d especially since everyone is waiting to know their results in the Spanish exams. Will they be able to put their differences aside for Christmas?
Season 2, Episode 11 – “Abed’s Out of Control Christmas”

For his second Christmas, Community pulls out all the stops and offers a special episode that is as creative as it is confusing.
The spectators find themselves immersed in a dream experienced by Abed on the morning of December 24. And what better way to convey the dreaminess of the situation than a long animated sequence, entirely in stop-motion? When he wakes up, as if having an epiphany, Abed is convinced that the group must reconnect with the Christmas spirit. He then embarks on a quest to bring his friends together and bring back the magic of the holidays.
Season 3, Episode 10 – “Regional Christmas Songs”

Often considered by Community fans as its best Christmas Special, the tenth episode of the third season is inspired by the famous series Glee to offer… a musical moment!
Indeed, when the university’s musical theater club is forced to cancel its Christmas performance, Jeff’s group is called upon to replace them at short notice. The problem is that none of them really know anything about music… They will then have to improvise to put on a Christmas show worthy of the name!
Season 4, Episode 10 – “Introduction to Knots”

For their last Christmas on screen, the heroes of Community see a distinguished guest join them: Professor Cornwallis (played by the famous Malcolm McDowell, from A Clockwork Orange).
In reality, the Western European History professor was invited by Annie because she hoped that he would reward her with a good grade on her last assignment. When they learn that he gave them an F grade, Jeff and his classmates take the professor hostage…
