The accident happened around 11.30 p.m. in the city of Chur. A 22-year-old driver was driving a BMW across the Ringstrasse to Masanserstrasse.
When he turned left at the junction into Masanserstrasse out of town, he got over the right edge of the lane onto the sidewalk and collided violently with a tree, according to a media release from the city of Chur.
After 70 meters the vehicle came to a standstill. A blood and urine sample was ordered from the driver and the driver’s license was removed. The vehicle was totaled. (bra)
