A paraglider pilot used the autumnal conditions for a flight on the Habicht in the rear Geschnitztal on Saturday. This ended in a crash and the death of the pilot.
The accident is believed to have happened around 1 p.m. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the pilot was apparently no longer able to keep his paraglider under control below the 3277 meter high Habicht. The flight therefore ended with the crash in a lightly snow-covered rocky area. Any help came too late for the man. According to the first information, which was not yet confirmed in the evening, it should be a German (27). The forces could only recover his body.
