The search for the sixth ski tourer in the Tête Blanche region remains unsuccessful.
Despite the resources and efforts used, the person could not be found.
It is a 28-year-old woman from Friborg, according to the Valais cantonal police.
She was the one who made the emergency call. After consultation with the family, the search has now been stopped. The operations took place in collaboration with the Cantonal Valais Rescue Organization, the Swiss Army Air Force, the Army’s mountain specialists and Air Glaciers.
As with any missing person case, the cantonal police will carry out selective checks in the affected area.
