Accident while digging – buried worker died in hospital

The doctors at the Salzburg accident hospital had tried their best for days. But unfortunately the 43-year-old Slovakian could no longer be put out of danger. He died on Wednesday morning as a result of his serious injuries.

The Slovakian (43) who – as reported – was buried in a construction pit in Palting has now died. Nine days after the rescue, the worker was overwhelmed with earth up to his head and was rescued by an excavator. Unfortunately, the doctors at the UKH Salzburg had to give up the fight. The earth had come loose. The tragic accident at work occurred on October 16th, shortly after noon , delivered. The 43-year-old was doing excavation work with three colleagues. When one of the four workers climbed into the shaft to lubricate the seal and then put the pipe into the hole provided, earth came loose and fell on the Slovakian who was standing outside the shaft to. Furthermore, a pipe burst, which caused the hole in the ground to fill with water.First resuscitatedThe 43-year-old was pulled out of the hole by his three work colleagues and a helper from the volunteer fire department with the help of an excavator, resuscitated by the Mattsee Red Cross and the emergency doctor and then given first aid brought to the LKH Salzburg by helicopter.
