(CercleFinance.com) – Accor announces today that it is strengthening its commitment to protecting the oceans with the adoption of the Ocean Framework label, developed by the Fondation de la Mer with the aim of helping companies and investors measure the impact of their activities on marine life.
Claiming to be ‘committed to creating sustainable value’, Accor has announced the adoption of a strategy and reporting policy dedicated to the oceans based on the Ocean Framework, under the international label “Ocean approved”.
Accor has pledged to remove single-use plastic from the guest experience in its hotels by the end of 2022, to reduce its carbon footprint and in hopes of no longer contributing to the 14 million tonnes of plastic that are dumped into the oceans every year.
