Accor plans to open 9 hotels in India in 2024

(AOF) – Accor’s growth strategy for 2024 in India includes the opening of six hotels in the premium, midscale and economy segments, and three luxury and lifestyle hotels, which will enrich its already diversified portfolio, said the hotel group. The latter added nearly 1,000 rooms in 2023 to its Indian portfolio thanks to the opening of the Novotel Mumbai International Airport, the Novotel Jaipur Convention Centre, the Novotel Jodhpur ITI Centre, the Grand Mercure Agra, the ibis Mumbai Thane and the ibis Styles Goa Vagator. Accor currently operates 62 hotels in the country.

Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO, Accor, commented: “India occupies an important place within our Group’s global strategy, because more than a market, this territory is a source of opportunities and growth. Accor is resolutely involved in this dynamic and rapidly changing country, where each hotel opening and signing testifies to our commitment and our unfailing desire to contribute to the prosperity of this country.”
