With a lockdown-related delay, the Salzburg Winter Festival can also start on December 14th. The plans for the anniversary edition of the festival have been adjusted. The artists from Gravity & Other Myths change location at the beginning: Instead of in the tent in the Volksgarten, they perform in SZENE Salzburg.
“The current situation and the short-term nature of the decisions required agility in our planning. We have adapted the schedule of the 20th Winterfest edition to the circumstances, ”says Winterfest managing director Julia Eder. The artists from Gravity & Other Myths are already in Salzburg and are looking forward to their performances. Your show “Backbone” will not take place in the Volksgarten as originally planned, but will be relocated to SZENE Salzburg. “This gives us the flexibility to set up the somewhat smaller red and blue circus tent in the Volksgarten. The companies Wakouwa Teatro and Circoncentrique will be guests there from December 21st, ”added Eder. As originally planned, the Canadian group Cirque Barcode and the Belgian Jos Houben will also appear in SZENE from December 21st. The organizers are still waiting for the exact details of the regulation, but if possible almost the entire program should be played.
