adidas announced on Wednesday that it plans to hire more than 2,800 people this year, not only to fill vacancies but also to create new ones.
The sports equipment manufacturer specifies that a large part of these recruitments will be made within its network of shops, where more than 900 arrivals are planned for the year.
The group says it also intends to recruit 500 engineers in the areas of digital, IT services, data and analytics.
In total, all these hires will be made at 307 sites spread across 47 countries.
adidas now employs more than 62,000 people, including 7,700 in its home country of Germany.
