After 18 years of marriage, Scott Stapp, 50, and his wife Jaclyn, 43, have separated. “Out of respect for the family, Scott wants to get through this difficult time privately,” People magazine quotes a spokesman for the rock star. According to the report, both Scott Stapp and his wife filed for divorce, apparently months ago. An alleged insider told the magazine, “Scott and Jaclyn had realized the marriage was over, but they continued to try to make it work.” Now the relationship is said to have finally failed.

A spokesman for the 43-year-old explained according to the US celebrity portal “TMZ” also that she has had “a long struggle” in her relationship with Scott Stapp. Although she never imagined that she would one day divorce him, she now wants a new start, they say. The Creed frontman and Jaclyn Stapp are parents of three children: They have daughter Milan, 17, and sons Daniel, 13, and Anthony, 6.
