Google recently filed, in a way that could not be more official, the name of its connected watch.
Not surprisingly, the first smartwatch “ Made by Google should therefore be called Pixel Watch.

It’s been a few months (years?) now that rumors have been rife about a connected watch from Google. A smartwatch that many had already dubbed ” PixelWatch “Obviously referring to the range of smartphones from the American giant, but there was no indication that the watch would really benefit from this name.
Nevertheless, 9to5Google today indicates that Google has recently registered the official name of this new upcoming smartwatch, which will therefore indeed adopt the name of “Pixel Watch”. Remember that the latter should be officially presented by Google as part of its I / O conference, expected on May 11 and 12.
This will obviously be a great first for the giant Google, which launched a certain Android Wear in 2014: a mobile operating system for connected watches, renamed WearOS a few years ago. Of course, Google will certainly take advantage of the experience of Fitbit (acquired in 2020 for more than 2.1 billion dollars) in connected objects to offer fitness-oriented features on its future Pixel Watch.
