Investing.com – Since the beginning of the war against Russia, Ukraine has implemented a system of cryptocurrency donations intended to help fund the resistance against the Russian invader.

From now on, it will also be possible to make donations in NFT, or to buy them directly from the Ukrainian government.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, indeed tweeted yesterday that the Ukrainian government will accept contributions to the war effort in the form of donations and purchases non-fungible tokens (NFT). Via the official crypto fund “Aid for Ukraine” it is now possible to make donations in cryptocurrencies, in fiat and now in NFT.

All funds are used to provide Ukrainians with weapons, medical equipment, medical kits and other expenses described on the Aid for Ukraine website.

Note that the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is the beneficiary organization of several NFT projects, including Russia For Sale, which sells Russian land in the form of NFT, and Holy Water, which supports local Ukrainian NFT artists, among others.

Now, people who buy an NFT from one of these organizations will contribute directly to funding Ukraine’s response.

Recall that Federov had already warned on March 3 that the Ukrainian government was going to announce NFT projects to support the war effort, warning on this occasion that he had no plans to issue a fungible token (in other words a cryptocurrency) .
