After the bakery robbery – the third robbery became a serial robber’s undoing

It always happened in the middle of the month: the attack took place with a knife. The perpetrator struck twice at tobacconists (we reported), his last robbery attempt was at a bakery in Klagenfurt.

On Monday shortly before three o’clock it was time again: The mysterious tobacconist struck again – this time at a bakery near the Wörthersee stadium in Klagenfurt (we reported). “He threatened a clerk in a hood and wanted her to open the cash drawer. But the panicked woman couldn’t do it,” the police said. “When the perpetrator turned away briefly, she managed to escape from the shop and alerted the police shortly afterwards.” “During the search, the officers secured the green balaclava and knife used in the robbery,” the police continued. “His actions were similar to the two tobacconist robberies in April and May. Therefore, the officers of the LKA Carinthia finally managed to clearly prove the robbery to the 31-year-old.” During the interrogation, the officers were able to use the balaclava and the overwhelming burden of proof to get a comprehensive confession from the Klagenfurt man about the two tobacconists and the bakery robbery to get. Further investigations should show whether he is responsible for other crimes.
