After the CEO of Assu 2000, its general director targeted by a complaint in Paris for rape

A former employee of the Assu 2000 insurance group (renamed Vilavi) filed a complaint on Tuesday in Paris against the general director Amir Messadi whom she accuses of rape in Morocco, a source close to the matter said on Sunday, confirming information from Le Parisien.

Questioned by AFP, the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the receipt of a complaint for rape against the leader. The latter contests any rape or assault, which is falsely attributed to him, his lawyer, Frank Berton, told AFP.

The complainant denounces having been the victim of sexual harassment upon her arrival at Assu 2000 in August 2021, then having suffered four rapes.

Amir Messadi would have asked her for nude photos, of her breasts and her buttocks, his lawyer, Anne-Claire Le Jeune, told AFP. The woman, who requests anonymity, recounts four rapes, Marrakech and Tangier. It was clearly established that in the event of refusal, my client would lose her job, affirmed Me Le Jeune.

His client had already filed a complaint in Morocco, where the group has branches, but Amir Messadi fled the country, said the complainant’s Moroccan lawyer, Me Acha El Guella. Contact on this aspect, Mr. Berton made erroneous assertions.

This complaint adds to the Assu 2000 file, in Morocco and France.

On Tuesday, the trial of eight other collaborators is due to resume in Tangier, notably for human trafficking and sexual harassment from 2018 to 2022.

In Paris, the former CEO of Assu 2000, Jacques Bouthier, has been indicted since May 2022 for human trafficking and rape of minors in particular. Initially a believer, he is now under judicial control for medical reasons.

Investigations in France began with a complaint in March 2022.

A 22-year-old woman claimed to have been forced, as a minor, by her cousin to have paid relations with men, according to legal information of which AFP was aware.

Among them: Jacques Bouthier, one of the 500 richest people in France. She accuses him of having raped her, of having placed her in an apartment in the Paris region in 2017, and of having forced her to have sexual relations with several men.

She also claims that Mr. Bouthier asked her to find him a minor, in exchange for 10,000 euros.

She explains that she agreed to set a trap for him, with the agreement of a 14-year-old girl: she filmed Mr. Bouthier in bed with the young girl, then gave the video to investigators.

For her part, during her hearings, the young girl claimed that Mr. Bouthier had forced her to masturbate, touched her private parts, then left 100 euros.

After this episode, the ex-CEO is suspected of having wanted to set up a team to recover the video and force the complainant to leave France. Seven other people are indicted, including his wife and a former GIGN member.

Mr. Bouthier defended himself. In December 2022, before the investigating magistrates, he only admitted to consensual sexual relations with the complainant, whom he believed to be an adult. I didn’t think I would hurt (him), he also declared during his indictment.

The septuagnarian is also the subject of investigations in Paris for sexual harassment.
