The last Sunday crime thriller from Hesse called “Tatort: Murot and Paradise” turned out to be incredibly innovative, but at the same time it was ultimately too crazy for many viewers. The result: Fewer than six million people watched Felix Murot (Ulrich Tukur, 66) make his philosophical fall – the lowest number for the LKA investigator. The new “crime scene” from Munich, however, turned out to be much more classic and much more successful the data from AGF Videoforschung in collaboration with GfK proves this.

“Tatort: Queens”, the new case by Munich investigators Batic (Miroslav Nemec, 69) and Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl, 65), attracted almost nine million viewers in the total audience. This not only accounted for a strong 31 percent market share at the slightly delayed prime time – the first had inserted “Focus: War in the Middle East” at 8:15 p.m. This was also the best value for a “crime scene” since March of this year. Well behind was ZDF with “Malibu – My Dream, Your Dream” (3.2 million viewers, 11 percent).

Also a hit with the target audience

The “Tatort” also secured pole position in audience favor by a wide margin among the audience aged between 14 and 49. 1.4 million people watched, accounting for a market share of just over 21 percent. For comparison: ProSieben, which had sent the DC anti-hero played by Tom Hardy (46) into the race with “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”, had the second best number in prime time with 0.59 million viewers (9.1 percent). .

In addition to the two popular detectives, the new “Tatort” from Munich featured Veronica Ferres (58) and Wolfgang Fierek (72) in the main roles in the episode. The plot of “Tatort: Queens” takes place in the Bavarian countryside and deals with sexual assaults, abuse of power – and an assassination attempt.
