The Death Of Robin Hood is a darker reimagining of the classic Robin Hood tale in which the title character, a battle-weary loner grappling with his past crimes and murders, finds himself gravely injured and is offered a chance at salvation by a mysterious woman .

This has been an incredible opportunity to reimagine and innovate the story we all know of Robin Hood”, said the director. ”It was essential to get the perfect casting to transform the storyline to the screen. I couldn’t be more thrilled and have more faith in Hugh and Jodie to bring this story to life in a powerful and meaningful way.

“More grounded and visceral”

This isn’t the Robin Hood story we all know”, said Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett, two of the film’s producers. “Instead, Michael created something much more grounded and visceral. Thanks to Alexander Black and our friends at Lyrical [la société qui finance le projet] as well as in Rama [Gottumukkala, producteur exécutif du film] and Michael, the world will love seeing Hugh and Jodie together in this epic.

Hugh Jackman will also be part of the producers of the feature film. In the meantime, the in-demand actor will soon be headlining Marvel’s upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds.
