Discord is (almost) everywhere
A few weeks ago, Discord landed on Xbox consoles (and it will soon be easier to use it there). Good news for players at Microsoft obviously, but difficult for those at Sony not to feel aggrieved. Fortunately, it looks like this imbalance will soon be history.
According to mobile screenshots from the Okami Games Twitter account (and other places on the web), the already existing integration between PlayStation and Discord will soon go further. If it is already possible to link your accounts since the beginning of the year, it will soon be possible to join a voice chat on Discord from your PS5. On the second capture, we can see a button ” Join Voice on PlayStation » alongside the button already offering the same thing on Xbox.
This connection also makes it possible to display on Discord the game currently launched on its console. This is also the only option that the PS4 will seem to offer, visibly deprived of voice chat. It remains to be seen when this feature, which is particularly practical for lovers of cross-play games, will be deployed to everyone.
