New year, new album: Kontra K will make its fans happy with the long player “Back from the light to the shadows” on May 21st.
No question about it, Kontra K (33) is one of the most productive and at the same time most successful rappers in Germany. Nine albums in nine years, seven of them in the top ten and five in a row at the top of the charts speak for themselves. And the bustling Berliner will delight his fans with new music in 2021 as well. On May 21, 2021, his tenth studio album “From the light to the shadows back” will be released.
According to the press release, this is “an epic total work of art” with which the rapper sets a “cinematic foray through his history” to music. A video for the song “This one melody” was filmed with traditional dancers in St. Petersburg in mid-February.
Rapper plays “Towards the Sun” tour
From the end of November, Kontra K will go on tour with his new album in their luggage. The “Towards the Sun” tour will take him through Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a total of 16 concerts. “Regardless of whether it is locations, sets or effects – we will once again set completely new live standards and I can hardly wait to go on stage again,” said the 33-year-old in a statement.
