Age of Empires: a special live will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series and the release of the Anniversary Edition of Age of Empires IV

Pending a possible paid extension, Age of Empires IV sees its content evolve over the seasons. It does, however, plan a one-time expansion next month with the release of I’Anniversary Editionwhich will actually be a simple update adding the civilizations of Ottomans and Maliansas confirmed during the gamescom 2022.

The event will highlight announcements, team interviews and other surprisesthen maybe we can hope to hear about a premium extension ofAoE IVfuture patches or a possible port to Xbox Series X|S.

The game that started it all is about to celebrate its birthday and we intend to celebrate it as it should. From misplaced boar baits to biggest wins, there’s a lot to tell!

Today we are delighted to announce that on October 25, we will celebrate 25 years of Age of Empires with a bang. Of course, we still want to keep a part of the mystery, so we won’t tell you exactly what awaits you, but we can already promise you that everyone will find something for themselves! But that’s not all. October 25 will truly be a big day for the series, as it will also see the release of Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition on Steam and the Microsoft Store! This new version of the game will include the base title, all updates released so far AND the Anniversary Update, which will feature two new civilizations, the Ottomans and the Malians. If you already own Age of Empires IV, you’ll get this update for free and can enjoy Ottomans and Malians, new mastery challenges, brand new Achievements as well as eight original maps and two new biomes to explore and conquer. . Season Three will also begin at the same time, with ranked team matches, better balancing of maritime phases, and the addition of markers to spot you. Season Three rewards are themed, please join the party.
