Summary
How to play Zero
Role: Universal
Zero is an interesting attacker in Rainbow Six Siege, especially when it comes to his playstyle. He is more than capable of fulfilling the role of entry fragger through his very powerful weapon options.
However, since his ability can offer a lot of information to the team, Zero can be played very effectively as a support operator. So your choice of role will depend on a few factors, such as the composition of the two teams, the location of the objective, and your personal preferences.
Difficulty
Mean
Zero is relatively easy to learn but will still require an experienced user to reveal its full potential.
- Requires significant knowledge of maps to place cameras at key points
- Isn’t vital to his team’s success after placing his cameras
- Benefits enormously from the advanced experience of its player
Which equipment to choose for Zero
Which main weapon to choose
Zero offers two primary weapons, the SC3000K and the MP7.
Zero’s two main weapons are very powerful. Despite all the SC3000K remains a more regular choice given that Assault Rifles shine in more situations than SMGs.

Which secondary weapon to choose
the 5.7 USG and the Gonne-6 are Zero’s secondary weapons. the 5.7 USG will be our choice even if the Gonne-6 can potentially come in handy if your team’s Breach ability is too low.

Which gadget to choose
Zero has access to two universal gadgets: the Heavy breach charge and the Claymore.
Choosing the right gadget will largely depend on your playstyle, with both options being perfectly viable.
We will move towards the Heavy breach charge to complement Zero’s most common role being support. However, if you choose to play as an entry fragger head to the Claymores.

Single ability
the Argus Launcher is Zero’s unique ability in Rainbow Six Siege.
Argus Launcher |
The Argus Launcher is capable of launching 4 cameras on any surface. In addition, they allow you to have an overview of both sides of the impact zone.
- The Argus camera is able to attach to indestructible surfaces, however vision will only be from the side it is attached to
- Each Argus camera has a 180 degree field of view
- Cameras are capable of firing “lasers”
- Each has one that recharges every 15 seconds
- Lasers from an Argus Camera deal 5 damage
- Argus cameras can be destroyed by any source of damage
The interest of Argus Cameras is twofold. Indeed the ability to observe enemy movements is a significant advantage especially when taking into account the fact that his allies can use them. In addition, the lasers grant the ability to interrupt enemy actions and thus offer precious seconds to your allies. However, the lasers are only usable by Zero himself.
