Agns Buzyn and Jean-Franois Delfraissy decorated with the Legion of Honor

PARIS (Reuters) – Former Minister of Health Agns Buzyn and COVID-19 Scientific Council President Jean-Franois Delfraissy feature in the New Year’s promotion of the Order of the Legion of Honor, according to a decree published on Saturday in the Official Journal.

Agns Buzyn, currently Director General of the World Health Organization, has been appointed knight.

The former minister of Emmanuel Macron, from 2017 to 2020, was indicted last September by the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR) for “endangering the life of others” in the context of the management government response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president of the Patriots, Florian Philippot, and the European deputy Thierry Mariani, judged on Twitter the decoration of Agns Buzyn as a “provocation”.

Jean-Franais Delfraissy, head of the scientific council responsible for advising the government in the management of the health crisis, was made commander of the Legion of Honor.

This promotion also includes the former Minister of the Interior of Emmanuel Macron, Grard Collomb, and the former Minister of Labor under Franois Hollande, Franois Rebsamen, currently mayor of Dijon.

They have both been made officers.
