Interpreter of several emblematic characters in the Star Wars saga, Sam Witwer revealed in a stream that he participated in the filming of the “Ahsoka” series on Disney+.
His name may not be famous, and yet… American actor Sam Witwer, known in particular to fans of the Supergirl and Riverdale series, revealed during of a Stream having participated in the Ahsoka series, in a role for the moment kept secret.
A participation that could announce the return of an emblematic character from the Star Wars saga, since Sam Witwer is none other than the voice interpreter of the Sith Darth Maul in the animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels, as well as in the long spin-off feature Solo: A Star Wars Story.
While Darth Maul is physically embodied by Ray Park, the character was dubbed in his very first appearance in The Phantom Menace by Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead).
Dark Maul is not the only emblematic character to have been played by Sam Witwer, since the latter also lent his voice to the hero of the video game Star Wars: The Force UnleashedGalen Marek (nicknamed Starkiller), a Sith considered to be the adopted son of Darth Vader.

Starkiller’s appearance also incorporates the features of the American comedian, whose movements were recorded in the studio by performance capture technology. Considered one of the most successful Star Wars games, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed now ranks among the Legends productions, that is to say non-canon.
While it seems impossible that Darth Maul could return (Rebels season 3 definitely answers that question) and unlikely that Starkiller will make his big live-action debut, many fans believe that Sam Witwer simply lent his voice to the movie. ‘Inquisitor Marrok in the Ahsoka series whose interpreter is not indicated in the credits.
