Ahsoka: It’s starting to stop making sense – where is this Star Wars Rebels favorite?

STAR WARS: AHSOKA

All sorts of fan favorites from “Star Wars Rebels” and other series and films appear in “Ahsoka,” but one character is conspicuous by his absence. Where is Zeb?

  • The Star Wars Rebels crew has been assembled in Ahsoka. But where is Zeb?
  • The fact that the Lasat doesn’t show up is becoming increasingly strange to justify, especially since Carson Teva was there in episode 4.
  • Like Carson, Zeb is also a ranger and can support Hera just as well and is also friends with her.

Halfway through the first season of “Ahsoka” is over and while we’ve seen many fan favorites from “Star Wars Rebels” like Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Having heard of others like Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), one is left out!

We’re of course talking about Zeb, who even had a cameo appearance in the third season of “The Mandalorian.” While we can understand that a CGI character isn’t entirely cost-effective for Disney+, it still seems a bit illogical that Carson Teva (Paul Sun Hyung Lee) shows up without Zeb even being mentioned.

Ahsoka: Zeb wasn’t even mentioned, but fellow Ranger Carson Teva shows up – what’s the point?!

Although Carson Teva has recently established himself as a minor fan favorite and can be seen in every series of the “The Mandalorian” era, it is even more disturbing that he of all people rushes to help Hera in the fourth “Ahsoka” episode. Although it makes sense that he knows Hera as a New Republic Ranger, it would make much more sense if Hera had asked Zeb for help.

In the third season of “The Mandalorian” we see that after the fall of the Empire, Zeb is also a ranger of the New Republic and therefore a colleague of Carson Teva. The two even have a small exchange of words and maintain a familiar relationship.

It’s even likely that Zeb introduced Carson and Hera to each other. So it makes sense that Hera would turn to Carson in tough situations, but not before turning to Zeb?! After all, Zeb and Hera lived together on the Ghost for many years and went on missions.

It’s clear that Disney+ is trying to keep Zeb’s appearances short because the CGI wastes a lot of money. But the fact that it isn’t even mentioned is illogical. If Hera goes on a mission without government permission, Zeb would have to be her first port of call, not Carson.

Especially since Zeb and Carson, as rangers, have the same resources to help Hera. Both probably command their own small squadron, both are of similar or even equal rank, but Zeb simply has a much longer history with Hera and a greater level of trust.

It remains to be seen how series creator Dave Filoni will justify Zeb’s absence in the coming episodes. The situation is similar, of course, with Captain Rex (potentially: Temuera Morrsion), who should actually appear as Ahsoka’s closest and oldest friend.

Every Wednesday there is a new episode in the Disney+ news program. In total, “Ahsoka” consists of eight episodes in the first season. We list all new “Star Wars” releases for you!
