Ahsoka on Disney+: this revelation in the first episodes of the Star Wars series completely changes what we know about the saga

A revelation in the first episodes of the “Ahsoka” series revealed the existence of a new galaxy never before explored in the Star Wars franchise!

After almost fifty years of existence, the Star Wars saga continues to surprise us! The proof with the new derivative series Ahsoka, whose first two episodes were broadcast this Wednesday, August 23 on the Disney + platform.

In this double-episode offered to subscribers of the streaming service, Rosario Dawson was offered the main role of this spin-off devoted to the adventures of the ancient Jedi, also designed as a direct sequel to Rebels.

Several years after the outcome of the fourth season of the animated series, the heroes of the program see their respective paths cross again to find the trace of their former companion Ezra Bridger.

The latter has been missing since his sacrifice to bring down Grand Admiral Imperial Thrawn, also announced to be back in the Ahsoka series. In the first episode, Ahsoka Tano gets her hands on a sphere containing the map of where to find Thrawn.

Unfortunately, two former Jedi who have gone over to the dark side – Baylan Skoll and his apprentice Shin Hati – will set off after him and get their hands on the artifact for their mistress Morgan Elsebth, a Witch of Dathomir.

In episode 2, the latter manages to decipher the coded card, revealing to her two allies the existence “from a distant galaxy”. The holographic plane displayed by the sphere then reveals the existence of several galaxies. Never until a Star Wars adventure (in the movies as in the series) has ventured into such an unknown world.

What if this iconic plan had revealed the whereabouts of Ezra Bridger?

A line of dialogue then tells us through Baylan Skoll that this galaxy, referred to in children’s tales told in the days of the Jedi Temple, is called Peridea. We do not know, however, if it is the same galaxy seen at the very end of The Empire Strikes Back, or in the database browsed by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Attack of the Clones.

The official introduction of this new galaxy could also announce future links with the Star Wars film developed by James Mangold, whose plot will take place several millennia before the story of the prelogy (Episodes I – II – III) and of The Acolyte series (expected in 2024).

Episodes of the Star Wars Ahsoka series can be found every Wednesday exclusively on Disney+!
