Ahsoka Season 2: Start

It is currently not known when “Ahsoka” will return to Disney+ for a second season. We are currently assuming that the elaborately produced series will only be released in… Summer 2025 will start at Disney. Before that, other shows like “Skeleton Crew” and “The Acolyte” will be released.

Ahsoka Season 2: Plot

It is currently unknown what will happen next in the second season of “Ahsoka”. However, the first season left us with a major and unsatisfying cliffhanger.

Thrawn returned to his galaxy at the end of Season 1 and now headed for Dathomir, the home of the Night Witches. Meanwhile, Ahsoka and Sabine returned to the Noti, where Ahsoka assured her student that they were exactly where they were supposed to be. They were observed by Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost.

But Ahsoka and Sabine are not alone on Peridea. After being ignored for most of the finale, at the end of the episode we saw Shin Hati approaching the bandits of Peridea with his lightsaber raised and Baylan Skoll getting closer and closer to his target.

The second season of “Ahsoka” now has to find a way to rescue Sabine and Ahsoka from Peridea, after all they can do little against Thrawn if they are stuck in an alien galaxy. If you would like to find out more about the possible plot of the second season of “Ahsoka”, then take a look at our “Ending Explained” for season 1.

Ahsoka Season 2: Cast

At this point, we can expect much of the cast from Season 1 to return.

Rosario Dawson (“Haunted Mansion”) stars as Ahsoka Tano. The actress has played the role since the second season of “The Mandalorian”. In addition to Dawson, another familiar face is on board with Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader. After “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” this is Christensen’s second “Star Wars” appearance on Disney+.

Other roles include Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“The Society”) as Sabine Wren and Eman Esfandi (“The Inspection”) as Ahsoka’s companion Ezra Bridger. “Fargo” actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays pilot Hera Syndulla. David Tennant (“Doctor Who”) takes on the role of lightsaber expert and droid Huyang. He already lent his voice to “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”.

Ivanna Sakhno (“High Fidelity”) plays the villain Shin Hati and Lars Mikkelsen (“The Witcher”) plays Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ahsoka’s archenemy.

We probably won’t see Ray Stevenson (“The Boat”) as Baylan Skoll and Diana Lee Inosanto (“The Mandalorian”) as Morgan Elsbeth again. Actor Stevenson passed away in May 2023, so his character Baylan Skoll is unlikely to appear again unless another actor takes over his role. Diana Lee Inosanto’s character Morgan Elsbeth, however, was killed and will therefore probably not be seen again.

Ahsoka Season 2: Production

The showrunners for the sci-fi series “Ahsoka” are Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, who previously worked together on “The Mandalorian.” They will probably also take over the management of the project in the second season.
