AI arrives in the office suite from November 2023


During a special event in New York, Microsoft announced news regarding the arrival of Copilot in Microsoft 365. AI will arrive in the office suite from November 1, 2023. And of course, you will have to checkout to enjoy.

Microsoft held a special conference this Thursday, September 21, 2023 in New York. The American manufacturer took the opportunity to unveil Copilot, his companion boosted with artificial intelligence. As the company points out, Copilot uniquely integrates context and information from the web, your professional data, as well as everything you might be doing on your PC.

In other words, Copilot aims to establish itself as an assistantwhich can be triggered on all the applications and services available on a Windows PC such as Paint, Photos, Clipchamp or even Microsoft 365. And precisely, it is Microsoft’s office suite that interests us today.

Copilot arrives in Microsoft 365 from November 1

On the occasion of this presentation, the Redmond firm confirmed the arrival of Copilot in Microsoft 365 from November 1, 2023. As you can imagine, users will therefore be able to use AI to automate certain tasks:

  • summarize documents
  • write emails
  • create new Word projects from information from various files
  • provide real-time insights into your Teams meetings
  • produce spreadsheets on Excel while explaining the different steps

The possibilities are numerous and the addition of Copilot promises to make life much easier for users. Be careful though, you will inevitably have to checkout to take advantage of the capabilities of Copilot on Microsoft 365. And suffice to say that the sum is substantial, sinceit will cost around thirty additional euros per month and per user. Enough to significantly increase the bill for individuals and businesses alike.

As a reminder, Copilot has already been available on Microsoft 365 for several months in beta. In addition to the integration of its AI, the American giant also presented Microsoft 365 Chat. To summarize, it is a robot that will be capable of “browse the full extent of your professional data, including emails, meetings, conversations, documents, but also the web”. According to Microsoft, Preview users can try Chat now on Microsoft365.com, Teams, and the Bing browser when signed into their work account.
