A man was shot dead by the GIGN on Wednesday after attacking family members in Dover, Ain. He had taken refuge in a house since that night and allegedly attacked 5 people, members of his family. The two adults and three children were stabbed to death. The motives are currently unknown.
A man was killed by the GIGN today in Ain, in Dover. An intervention was underway around the house where he had taken refuge since that night. According to our information, he allegedly attacked five people, two adults and three children, with knives. All five were killed. According to our information, all would be members of his family, and the madman would be the son of the father of the family, born from a first union. As for the second adult killed, it would be his stepmother.
Regarding the children, it would be the sister of the alleged perpetrator, aged 17, his half-brother, aged 15 and his half-sister, aged 5.
The reason for his gesture unknown
According to our information, the young man would be 22 years old, and would be followed psychiatrically. He had with him at least one white weapon, of the katana saber type. The police used fire after having tried several times to control it using an electric pulse gun, without success.
We do not know for the moment his motivations, nor the motive of his gesture.
