Air Crash: a special episode on Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crash on February 12 on National Geograhic


The American program “Air Crash” will offer, this Saturday, February 12, a special episode devoted to the helicopter accident which claimed the life of NBA star Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and to seven others on January 26, 2020.

The Air Crash documentary series specializes in the analysis of aviation disasters, and each element of the investigation is studied in great detail in order to allow viewers to understand as accurately as possible the actual unfolding of events.

In this special episode, the story begins in California, where Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and six other people must travel to Camarillo, 129 kilometers from their starting point to participate in a basketball game. The pilot is an experienced professional, and a friend of the former glory of the Los Angeles Lakers. The flight should only last 30 minutes. Despite reduced visibility due to a morning fog, the helicopter took off at 9:06. It will crash 41 minutes later, on a hill in Calabasas, not far from their destination.
