Air Liquide: obtains support from the Netherlands for 2 projects – 2022-12-21 at 18:08

(CercleFinance.com) – Air Liquide announces that it welcomes the decision of the Dutch State to support its large-scale renewable hydrogen production projects, called ELYgator (in Terneuse) and CurtHyl (in Rotterdam), as part of the Hy2Use program of the Hydrogen Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI).

Each with a capacity of 200 MW, “these electrolyser projects will contribute significantly to the decarbonization of industry in the Netherlands and neighboring countries,” says Air Liquide.

The company says the electrolyzers will both run on renewable electricity and produce a total of around 30,000 tonnes of renewable hydrogen per year without generating any CO2 emissions.

“Air Liquide is delighted with the recognition by the Dutch authorities of the unique character of these two flagship projects for the development of renewable hydrogen in the Netherlands”, commented Pascal Vinet, director of the company and member of the Executive Committee of Liquid air.
