The platform Airbnb announced this Tuesday, October 24, the launch in France and in around twenty countries of a payment solution in three installments. Good news: this payment method will cost you nothing.

Thirteen years after its arrival in France, Airbnb has just reached the milestone. The housing rental service announced that it had launched payment in installments, in partnership with Klarna, a Swedish fintech specializing in the fee-free system. What does Airbnb offer us more concretely?

Airbnb enters the installment payment arena

First launched in the United States this summer, payment in installments now allows French travelers to pay for their next stay on Airbnb in three installments, without interest over two months. This option is intended to simplify the payment process and spread it out for a slightly lighter financial burden.

Airbnb, which has just escaped a small tax blow in France, is celebrating the news with this new means of payment for French travelers, which is possible over two months or several weeks.

Now, when paying, you will have the option to pay for your reservation in full, as you have been doing up until now, or pay over time by paying in 3 installments with Klarna. Please note, the system is nevertheless limited to reservations between 35 and 2,500 euros.
