Florence Parly, French Minister of Arms, today announced on her Twitter account the order for 169 ‘Gupard’ helicopters from Airbus Helicopters.
The aircraft will equip the three French armed forces from 2027, namely the land force, the air force and the national navy.
This triple deployment constitutes “a first” indicates the minister. ‘This will improve its availability and reduce maintenance costs,’ she says.
In addition to additional capacity for the weapon, the Gupard should also secure 2,000 jobs in France, underlines Florence Parly.
