Airbus: 6,000 recruitments planned for the first half

(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus plans to recruit around 6,000 people at group level over the first six months of the year, according to figures released on Wednesday by the European aircraft manufacturer.

In a press release published in the morning, the group says it wants to “prepare the future of aviation” while the sector, according to him, shows signs of a “solid” recovery following the Covid-19 crisis.

Airbus specifies that around a quarter of the planned recruitments are intended to support its long-term ambitions, particularly in the areas of decarbonisation, digital transformation and cybersecurity.

Nearly a third of hiring should concern young graduates, he adds.

Thierry Baril, Airbus’ human resources director, explains that the group plans to reassess its recruitment projects in mid-2022, after this first wave of hiring, in order to adjust them as closely as possible to its needs.
